The Boston Mountain Solid Waste District has opened a new recycling center at 1809 S. Lowell Road, Springdale.  The following items will be accepted free of charge during business hours:  cardboard, mixed paper, plastics #1-#7 (excluding styrofoam), glass, aluminum, steel cans, and batteries. 

Also accepted at the Springdale location, on Mondays, are paint for $1.00 per can, fluorescent bulbs at $1.00 each (any size), and electronics for $5 each (i.e. computers, televisions, stereos, dvd players, VCRs, etc.)
